I'm so psyched to have found this and finally post it somewhere. It has to be one of my favorite pieces next to Lacrymosa. This was a drawing I did after my first trip to downtown Chicago. I drew this the following week from home over 300 miles away, not so much from memory, but rather my impression of the city. I was hoping to capture how the building seemed to blend together into walls that created this immense stage. while at the same time the felt like they were closing in over me. It was fun to name little elements after friends of mine at the time. my best guess is that this was done around 1988-1989 Note: this was close to completion but still remains unfinished and has never been signed.
